The Pied Cow is a strange venue that in time will become a hub for local rock music, there is plenty of room for bands and the PA system is mammoth!

2008 could prove to be a momentous year for Another Dead Hero, with their latest release just around the corner!  The new record is due to be released in February with a string of dates across the country to come, so watch this space for more news!

Another Dead Hero’s latest offering once again shows a distinct progression of the band’s ever changing sound. With triple guitars, bass and percussion the record moves from the darkest plunges of human existence to the angelic callings of our innermost thoughts.

This new record display’s the band’s versatility and presence, with Saunders (c), Marsala, Saunders (r) and Houghton generating sheer visceral force as well as subtle intricacies throughout the record whilst Allum and Burley create a solid and at times manic tempo that brings the apocalyptic undertones of the record to life.

With the beautiful vocals of Laura Davies and the tortured growl of Tom Halliday - the new record is a dark, violent and unforgiving record which also maintains an air of hope within the crumbling world created throughout the record.

The band played their first gig of 2008 at Hogs on Friday 29th Feb to a fantastic reception!  The night was a pleasurable blend of local talent, with good sets from Drummer Hates Jazz and Halomobilo, topped off with a slice of Another Dead Hero!
